It’s a page where we list prayer requests that have not been prayed for. You can get to it by clicking the down arrow next to the word “Requests” in the main navigation menu.

From time to time, I’ll go check this page, and guess what: Most of the time, nothing is there. Nothing. That’s because every single request submitted to this site gets prayed for.

We want to give a HUGE word of encouragement to you prayer warriors out there. You see to it that every request gets prayed for promptly. Way to go.

So today, I had to put up a default message on this page that shows up whenever there are no requests that need to be prayed for…which is almost all the time.

- Andy

Right From The Heart Ministry Update Video Video Transcript:...

Right From The Heart Ministry Update Video

Video Transcript:

This year, Right From The Heart is celebrating 16 years of ministry…always with the same Mission: To reach and disciple people through the use of media.

Hello, my name is Jim Murphy and I’m the Executive Director of Right From The Heart Ministries. I appreciate this opportunity to give you an update on how God has been working through this ministry over the past several months. What is unique about Right From The Heart is that the primary focus is “outreach,” creating thought-provoking messages that are aired on secular radio and television…. messages designed to raise questions in people’s minds and get them thinking about where they stand in their relationship with God. I hope you’ve had an opportunity to see and hear some of these messages on local radio and TV. Over 4 million people a month see our TV messages in metro Atlanta. And worldwide, over 270 million hear either an outreach spot or one of our teaching programs or sermons on radio!

More recently, we’ve been directing people to our web site via the secular radio and TV spots…giving them an opportunity to get more in-depth information, and to answer questions of faith, and exposing them to the wealth of content on the web. We’ve also expanded our presence on the internet, making both video and audio messages available there through a variety of outlets, our own web site, podcasts, Facebook, and even YouTube.

Probably the most popular internet-based aspects of the ministry are Bryant’s daily devotions. These devotions can be read on our web site; you can have them delivered to your email, or even have them built-in to your home page or Facebook profile—-all of this is available from our web site.

When the devotions first became available on the web in July 2006, an average of 700 devotions were viewed monthly. Last month, the figure had grown to over 120,000 devotions viewed!

If you aren’t already receiving them, I encourage you to go to rightfromtheheart.org and sign up for our daily devotions. It’s a great way to start your day, and an easy way to witness to friends or family by forwarding the devotions to them, or having them visible on your home page or Facebook profile.

So, what’s new at the ministry? Well…I’m glad you asked!!

1. A few months ago, we added a “comments” section to the daily devotions, a place where you can leave comments about that day’s devotion. I’ve got to tell you, we get some pretty lively interaction between readers there. I encourage you to take time to read some of the comments and participate in the comments section!

2. We believe in the power of prayer. Just last month, we added an entirely new feature to our ministry … an online Prayer Community called Right From The Knees….a place where a person can anonymously leave a prayer request and have other members of the community pray for them. We hope you’ll visit it at RightFromTheKnees.org

3. Recently we started measuring the effectiveness of the ministry through something we call “touches.” Every time someone views a daily devotion, hears a radio or sees a TV spot anywhere in the world, we consider that a “touch.” Did you know that if you factor in all of Right From The Heart’s media efforts around the world we’re creating over 270 million touches each month? Pretty amazing, how the media allows us to reach so many people.

4. Soon, we’ll be broadcasting radio spots on a secular rock-n-roll station in Poland. And, we’ve just started discussions on broadcasting Bryant’s sermons translated into Farsi—directly into Iran.

If what we’re doing excites you, you can support the ministry in a couple of ways.

First of all, I’d ask you to pray for the ministry, for the effectiveness of our messages, the success of the initiatives we’ve undertaken in the US, Poland, India and elsewhere and that God will continue to use the ministry to reach people and bring them into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Secondly, I’d like to ask you to prayerfully consider becoming a regular financial supporter of Right From The Heart. We hope you’ll join us in carrying out the directive of Jesus to bring the Good News to people locally, regionally, and throughout the world. Click on the donate tab on our web site to get more information about how you can participate in supporting this ministry.

Help Us Tell Others About Right From The Knees

Help Us Tell Others About Right From The Knees: We need your help!! If you love Right From The Knees then help us spread the word about it. We think it’s an awesome tool for prayer, but not too many people know about it. That’s where you come in. We could sure use your help in telling others about it. This link will show you ways that you can help us do that. And as always let us know if we can help you along the way. I’ll help you share it.

New Feature: Tell us how God has answered your prayers? Well, now we can. We just added this new feature to our site so that now, when you post an update to your prayer request, we will send an email to everyone who has prayed for you, so that they can look back and see what God is doing in your life. It’s easy to to do. Check out this How To image above to see what we’re talking about.

The "Best" Way to Pray

The "Best" Way to Pray:
This is great article about prayer from Bill Gillham of Lifetime Guarantee Ministries. Here is an excerpt from the article:

“God ordained prayer to enable us to develop a personal, intimate, trusting relationship with our Spiritual Dad—to bond with Him. How do we do that? By spending a lot of time doing things together and conversing. That’s right—conversing. This is not to say that we’re to fill the air with chatter or tell God the latest joke. After all, He already knows the punch line. it doesn’t mean that we should begin the day with our laundry list. Jesus told us that He already knows our needs and that He’s turned off by our greeds.”

Read the article

New Feature: Email notifications of new prayer requests If you...

New Feature:

Email notifications of new prayer requests

If you would you like to receive an automatic email every morning containing the previous day’s prayer requests that were posted on Right From The Knees, you can now sign up for that service.

Feedback So Far

Right From The Knees was released a couple weeks ago, and so far we’ve had nice feedback about the site.

I think this site is awesome! The first time I put in a prayer request someone had answered it right away & it brought tears to my eyes. I love it! What a way to get a lot of people praying for someone who really needs our prayers. I hope you keep it going.

Here’s another:

I really like Right from the Knees which is such a good name for this new community. One suggestion is that it would be nice to be able to edit the prayer after posting. After I reread my post about the mom to be I realized it could have been better worded. Just a thought. God bless you all in reaching people for Christ.

Yep! That’s a good suggestion. We’re going to be the ability to edit your prayers into a future release of RFTK.

And one more:

Thankyou for your site, it is lovley to have somewhere to share problems and faith. I wondered if there was anywhere on your site like a discussion board, or somewhere to share and celebrate answered prayers. Thank you.

You can post an update about prayer requests, but oftentimes no one who has already prayed for that request will come back to view it. So, what we’re thinking is when you post an update to your prayer request, the site will send a quick notification email to people who have already prayed for that request and tell them that you posted an update. That’s a great suggestion.

We are all praying that this is the start of something big, not for our glory, but for His. Please continue to pray for us.
